Before finalizing your reservation, please review this document meticulously. By reserving a yacht with MapleShadePark, you accept and consent to these stipulated terms for refunds.

Standard Cancellation and Refund Timetable

Exceeding 72 Hours Prior to Charter

100% Refund

Qualified for: Complete reimbursement excluding transaction costs

Timeframe for Processing: 5-7 working days

Transaction Charge: €50 for card payments

Prerequisites: Cancellation requests must be in written form via electronic mail or telephone

Within 24 to 72 Hours of Charter

50% Refund

Qualified for: Half of the total charter fee

Timeframe for Processing: 7-10 working days

Transaction Charge: €25 is deducted from the reimbursement amount

Prerequisites: A legitimate cause is mandatory; admin charges will be applicable

Less than 24 Hours Until Charter

No Refund

Qualified for: No refund will be issued

Exemption: Extreme situations may be taken into account

Substitute: Voucher for charter payment might be issued at the discretion of management

Prerequisites: Required documentation for emergency reasons

Refunds Due to Weather Concerns

Our Pledge for Weather Conditions

Safety prevails as our utmost priority. If the captain, certified by us, regards weather conditions as unsafe for sailing:

  • Complete Refund: Full reimbursement will be provided when itinerary alteration is not possible
  • Reschedule: Alter the charter date to an upcoming available slot with no surcharges
  • Charter Credit: Provide a voucher legitimate for one year from the initial charter date

Evaluation of Weather Conditions

We carry out a thorough weather evaluation including:

  • Assessment of wind velocity and direction
  • Evaluation of wave height and ocean status
  • Visibility and prediction of rain
  • Maritime advisories and cautions
  • The captain's expert safety assessment

Timeline for Decisions: Determinations regarding weather cancellations are concluded at the latest, four hours before the scheduled departure.

Refunds for Medical Emergencies

Scenarios of Emergencies

We sympathize with the occurrence of unforeseen medical situations. Consideration for special cases may be given to the following:

  • Unanticipated illness or injury necessitating hospital stay
  • Loss within the immediate family
  • Unanticipated military deployment or urgent recall
  • Summons for jury duty or legal subpoena
  • Natural catastrophes affecting transport

Requirements for Document Submission

For the processing of emergency refund appeals, kindly offer:

  • A medical certificate or hospital records
  • A death certificate, where necessary
  • Authenticated military commands
  • Legal subpoena or jury duty notification
  • Emergency or travel advisories declarations

Processing: Upon presenting proper proof, emergency reimbursement claims will be managed within 3-5 days.

Refunds Due to Operational Interruptions

Mechanical Malfunctions

If the assigned marine vessel suffers mechanical issues that are unresolvable:

  • Replacement Vessel: An equivalent alternate will be attempted to be provided
  • Complete Refund: Issued if no corresponding alternative is found
  • Partial Refund: Offered if the alternate vessel features different pricing
  • Compensation: Additional compensation for the inconvenience may be presented

Unavailability of Crew

In exceptional cases where certified crew is not available:

  • Replacement crew will be arranged if feasible
  • Full refund if the charter is unable to proceed
  • Options to reschedule with no extra charges

Refund Methodology

Payment Return Method

Refunds will be allocated back to the payment method used during the original transaction:

  • Credit Cards: 5-7 business days
  • Bank Transfers: 7-10 business days
  • Cash or Cheque: 3-5 business days

Transaction Fees

Card Transaction Processing

€50 charge for cancellations with more than 72 hours' notice

Processing for Bank Transfers

€25 charge for all reimbursements via bank transfer

International Processing Charges

Additional charges may be imposed for transactions crossing national borders

Charter Credits

Instances When Credits Are Issued

In some instances, instead of refunds, credits for charters may be given:

  • Last-minute cancellations (under 24 hours)
  • Weather-related cancellations
  • Requests for voluntary rescheduling
  • Operational disturbances

Credit Specifications

  • Validity: 12 months from the date of issuance
  • Transferability: Non-transferable between individuals
  • Value: Matches the full value of the charter (excluding transaction fees)
  • Utilization: Can be redeemed for any available yacht charter
  • Expiry: No extensions past 12 months

Partial Reimbursements for Interrupted Services

Service Disruptions

If your yacht trip is disrupted or abridged due to factors within our control:

  • Refund proportionate to time not utilized
  • Equivalent value credit for a future yacht rental
  • Additional complimentary services or upgrades

Guest-Induced Interruptions

If a yacht excursion is prematurely ceased due to actions by guests or breaches of safety regulations:

  • No reimbursement for duration not used
  • Complete payment remains required
  • Possible supplementary charges

Conflict Resolution

Should you find the resolution of your refund claim unsatisfactory, you have the option to:

  • Appeal for an assessment by our administrative personnel
  • Contribute additional evidence or proof
  • Seek mediation via consumer protection bodies
  • Utilize any lawful course of action under relevant statutes

  • The reason behind the annulment
  • Any corroborating documents (if applicable)
  • Chosen methodology for refund

Stage 3: Examination and Action

Our team will acknowledge your application within a day, evaluate it in accordance with our guidelines, finalize a decision within two days, and execute approved refunds within the mentioned timeframes.

Critical Notes

  • All applications for refunds must be made in written form
  • Reimbursements are executed in €, regardless of the transaction currency initially used
  • A strong recommendation is given for travel insurance
  • This document is prone to alterations with a notification period of 30 days
  • Refunds are subject to applicable dues and norms
